I’m Chandni, a 20-something who recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia. Currently, my day job is working as a software developer in Vancouver, Canada.
I’m a big fan of reading and reviewing books! My taste in books is generally very broad, as can be seen from the novels I review on this blog. I like to read every type of book, though I’m not a huge fan of self-improvement books (though I have read a few). I also don’t read a lot of non-fiction, unless it’s true crime or narrative non-fiction.
For the last few years, I’ve been volunteering at the Vancouver Writer’s Fest, which is a phenomenal experience. I learn so much from listening to writers speak about their books and their reasons for creating them.
My goal as a book blogger is to always remain objective and be honest with my opinion. I’m the type of person that is able to separate the book from the author and I don’t let my feelings for the author cloud my judgement on the book. I’m also not a huge fan of giving books “star reviews” and I won’t do that on this blog, unless I’m forced to. I prefer to talk about the things I liked and disliked about the novels and I don’t want to discourage someone from reading a book just because I gave it a low rating.
On the business end of things, if you’d like to contact me, I’d love to hear from you! Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or follow me on Twitter – @decembersdream.
